In light of the increased risk of COVID-19 Community transmission, we have made a number of changes to how our the Practice will be run for the foreseeable future. We apologise for the difficulty reaching a receptionist by phone. This is due to the greatly increased number of incoming calls. Please use the option son this website to contact us for appointments, prescriptions and requests for call-back.
Booking Appointments:
We have instructed staff to ask all patients booking appointments routine questions about respiratory symptoms (e.g. fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, travel history confirmed Coronavirus case contact with) for respiratory cases etc. We may forward a form to you by email to complete which will be followed by a call from the Doctor. You may be asked to self isolate following guidelines given to us by Public Health. Please use the website options to book appointments and to ask for the GP to call you back instead of using the telephone.
Attending Appointments
Please arrive for your appointment at the allocated time and no earlier. Stay in your car on arrival with your mobile switched on. You will be called when the Doctor is free to see you and you will go directly to the Doctors Surgery when admitted to the Practice.
Phone/Video Consultations
Due to the significantly increased volume of queries and requests for our Doctors, and in an effort to move away from Face to Face consultations, we can facilitate scheduled chargeable phone/Video consultations in place of in-person both for your protection and ours. Due to the greatly increased number of calls to the practice, you may not find it easy to get through to a receptionist. You can use the options on this website instead to request appointments, a call back from the GP or nurse or the request your repeat prescription.
Prescription Requests
Please ensure to leave adequate time (at least 48 hours) to have your repeat prescriptions filled – we can have Prescriptions sent directly to your Pharmacy. Please ensure that you let the Receptionist know the name of your usual Pharmacy.
Certs
We can email work certs where required and Social Welfare Certs can be submitted electronically. Under no circumstances, should you call to the Practice without phoning first.
We really appreciate your cooperation and understanding in these challenging times. These changes in how we are working will help reduce the risk of spreading coronavirus and ensure that we can continue to safe provide services to all of our Patients during this Pandemic.
Please ensure that you are playing your part by maintaining physical distance from others outside of your household and following Government guidelines.
